Why do I need my gutter's cleaned?Keeping your gutters cleaned extends the life of your gutters.

Do you climb over my roof?We have a ground based gutter cleaning system which means that we do not have to climb on any roofs to clear your gutters. We use a camera and video display to track our progress and ensure the gutters are cleared of debris.

How often do I need my gutter's cleaned?We would recommend at a minimum annually, but more frequently if you rely on your roof for capturing your water supply.

Am I covered for insurance if my gutters are full of debris?Insurance companies expect you to have a normal duty of care on your property and in general keep up with the maintenance. This would include ensuring that your gutters are free from debris to avoid flooding and leaking in your home.

Do I need to be at home when Gutter Rats arrive?No, just let us know if you have any pets or specific restrictions at your property. Other than that we are fully independent as we have our own power supply.

Do you use any chemicals when you clean the gutters?No, our machine is like a vacuum cleaner and extracts any matter with pure power.

What do you do with the waste matter afterwards?This is up to the owner. We can take the matter away, however in most cases the debris collected is organic and some property owners love having it spread in their garden. If you do want to hold onto your organic matter just give us the instructions on where you would like us to leave it.

How high can you clean without going on the roof?Our gutter cleaning system reaches four stories. Anything higher and we would arrange a cherry picker to assist.

How is a job priced?In most cases we can measure the metres of guttering using Google Earth, however if we can't we'd arrange a site visit prior to issuing a quote.
